Phillip “Rocky” Rockwell

Rocky is in the Information Technology field and has worked for defense contractor Lockheed Martin in Aiea since 2005. For the nine years prior to that he proudly served in the US Navy, leaving active duty only so he could remain in Hawaii. He continues his service in the Navy Reserve where he currently holds the rank of Chief Petty Officer. In 2008 he deployed to Fallujah, Iraq with the Naval Construction Force to help rebuild the country’s infrastructure.

Outside of work, Rocky is a community leader with the Kiwanis and a member of the Makiki Community Learning Center.  Community service has always been a large part of his life, and for three years he was a regular volunteer at Hospice Hawaii caring for terminally ill patients.  Other past volunteer activities include the H-5 Next Step Homeless Shelter, Easter Seals in Ewa Beach, serving Thanksgiving dinner at the Blaisdell for the Salvation Army, and the Special Olympics Hawaii each year.

During his free time, Rocky enjoys listening to live music, running, photography, and of course time with his friends.  Rocky currently resides in Salt Lake.
